- FETV received Third and Second Prize, respectively, at the 14th Annual Fujian News Awards and the 14th Annual Fujian Radio & Television Broadcasting Achievement Awards.

- FETV received the First Prize and the Third Prize at the 11th Nationwide Awards for Outstanding Educational TV Programs.
- FETV received Second prize in the Short News category at the Fujian Radio and Television News Awards, Third prize in the Long News and Special News category, and Third Prize in the Outstanding News category.
- Great Golden Lake became one of the "Top 50 Places Worth Visiting for Foreigners," and the Meilin Opera at the GGL was recognized as an example of "State-Level Intangible Cultural Heritage."

- FETV's program titled "Hotline Safe-Guarding the Rights of the Young" was awarded as "Rangers of the New Long March." by China Radio and TV Association.
- Fujian Education News was awarded Third prize for Television Broadcasting at the "2005 Selection Activity for Radio and Television Broadcasting and Hosting Works and Papers." The paper "Temperament Training for TV Hosts" was awarded Third Prize among the papers category by Fujian Radio and TV Association.
Great Golden Lake was appraised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as the core area of Taining's World Geological Park. That year, it was ranked in the top 3 of "China's Top 10 Charming Towns" and was included in the "Seven Most Beautiful Danxia in China" list and amongst the "One Hundred Classic Red Scenic Spots."
